The board of CISO Platform Nederland, the non-profit association of CISO community Nederland, is complete: CISOs Dimitri van Zantvliet (NS/Dutch Railways), Luisella ten Pierik (Stedin), Mahdi Abdulrazak (SHV Energy), Justin Broeders (Ministry of Finance) and co-founder Rob Beijleveld (ICT Media), officially joined the organization’s board on February 16.

Dimitri van Zantvliet, co-founder of the CISO community Nederland, has been appointed as the Chair. Luisella ten Pierik will be the Vice Chair and Secretary. Mahdi Abdulrazak will cover Strategy & Governance and Justin Broeders will have oversight of the CISO Experience Groups within the association. Lastly, co-founder of the CISO community Nederland Rob Beijleveld joined in the temporary capacity of Treasurer. In the future, the board will consider an expansion with CISOs covering specific topics or work streams.

The association, founded in late 2023, is now ready for the real work: helping to elevate the Netherlands’ cyber maturity. CISO Platform Nederland is affiliated with the CISO community Nederland but operates independently and, unlike the CISO community, is not open to security solution providers. The goal is collaboration, knowledge sharing, mutual support, competence building, cyber security management, and proper positioning of the CISO role in organizations.

“This brand new board comprises seasoned professionals from a variety of sectors, ensuring a diverse perspective on cybersecurity challenges in our society,” said Dimitri van Zantvliet. “We believe that this diverse and experienced team will provide a strong foundation for the CISO community in the Netherlands.”

In addition to the board, the organization is supported by a dedicated office team with Floor Pheninckx as the Community Manager, and Piet-Hein van Santvoort as the business manager.

With a fully-fledged organization, CISO community Nederland and CISO Platform Nederland are preparing to host the first CISODAY on May 28, where the first CISO of the Year will be chosen.
